Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
My morning sickness and fatigue are making me operate at less than 25%.
I was originally going to try to wait as long as possible to tell work that I was pregnant but now I'm considering telling them really soon as I constantly feel nauseous and sick. I'm the only girl in my department. I don't know how my male colleagues will sympathize. I just know I am feeling miserable all day.
There is a lot of face time at my office. I just don't think I can do it anymore.

I told my boss pretty early on and I am sooo glad I did...having that understanding went a long way and being sick is a very serious thing...I would share at least with your boss and/or any coworkers that you feel close enough to to help you out...good luck and feel better

hopefully you will get special treatment from those guys, but as far as "understanding"... I don't think any guy will understand what we go through
I definitely think "preggo-brain" has effected my work

Re: Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
I work with guys only as well and I haen't told anyone either. I would agree that I am working at about 25% (and LIF doesn't help that... )
Fortunately, my office is next to the restrooms and no one seems to notice that I'm not working as much... we'll see how long that lasts.
PS: I really want a cheeseburger. From McDonalds. With extra of those little chopped up onions.

Re: Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
I would at least tell your boss. I had terrible morning sickness and I work in a call center. I was so afraid that I would be on a call and would then have to do a marathon dash to the bathroom. I wanted my manager and supervisor to know that if they see me running, was in the bathroom for a long time or I have to leave my desk in the middle of a call they knew why.
They were very understanding.
The rest of my department I told them later on but the signs were obvious. They all knew something was up when I was eating saltines and ginger ale for breakfast every morning. One guy I cant really blame he didnt know and he would pick on me about the things I was eating. I wanted to slap him so much but I knew he didnt know so I couldnt get overly mad at him. I would just give him dirty looks.
Once I told the rest of my department they were all so wonderful. They would all do what they could to make my day easier. If I had to reach for something or file something where I needed to use the step ladder they wouldnt let me do it. Even now as it's getting close to the end of my pregnancy they are all just amazing and will go out of their way to make sure my day and work is not stressful

Re: Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
That was the reason I had to tell my manager so early, my coworkers were very suspicous that something was going on with me. If it is effecting your work, I think you should tell your boss just so they know why you aren't working at the same pace and so they don't expect as much from you going forward....good luck!

Re: Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
I mentioned it right away (becuase my mentor came in the day of my BFP and was hanging around me immediately after undergoing a nuclear stress test I had to tell him so he would stay away until he decayed to background rad levels...)
I was FINE with work until last week (the 32 week mark). now I am very fatigued and slow I'm trying to keep up the best I can, but it's simply too much at this point.

Re: Has pregnancy affected your work at the office?
I told a lot of people at work pretty early on as well. It really hasn't affected my job too much so far, but I can honestly say that I have noticed that I have much more limited patience with colleagues who are normally idiots by nature. I have probably gotten pretty snappy with them and really need to work to keep myself in check.
