Prayers needed - UPDATE
We just had to take my little ferret Kiki to the emergency vet. Don't want to share TMI, but basically blood was coming out of somewhere it shouldn't.... She has insulinoma, but has been doing very well on her medication (so well that last week at a routine blood glucose screening, her vet questioned if she even had the disease). So the emergency vet ran her glucose which looked good, then ran some bloodwork. The bloodwork showed that her liver looks like it's in bad shape (some levels were off the charts!) and she thinks maybe the cancer has spread...  They are keeping her overnight and are going to do an ultrasound in the morning, but no matter what the results are, they don't think she has much longer. DH and I are so upset...
UPDATE:
She's gone...... I called the vet this morning to check on her and he said he was about to call me. She was in critical condition and wasn't even stable enough for the ultrasound. A few minutes later he called to tell me that her heart stopped and they were trying to resecutate (sp?) her. It didn't work and now she's an angel...
