How do you know what beta website to go by?
I have always gone by the one that everyone posts on here (sorry- don't have the link right now) but someone just sent me the american pregnancy association one (to give me some hope)..... which says anything above 5 at 4 weeks since LMP is considered a positive beta. I'm not even sure what I'm asking b/c I know I'm 'technically' a positive beta right now... and will just have to wait until Monday to either be told it was a chemical and has dropped or is back to zero- or I'll be told it's increasing, in which case I'll sit on pins and needles some more. How do you know if it's 'viable'? Or do you really through just beta? I guess it's not technically viable until they see a heartbeat and everything else on a sono, right? Why can't things just be black and white for once????

Re: How do you know what beta website to go by?
anything above 5 is considered positive
if its viable is a different story
Like you said, until you see a heartbeat you just don't know...

Although anything above 5 is considered a positive beta, the reality is that it should at least be close to 100 at this point. You don't know anything for sure until you see the yolk sac and then the heartbeat. But, although I know people are saying your numbers could go up, etc....It is realistic to be aware that a beta of 9.4 at 17 dpo is most likely not a viable pregnancy.

Thanks guys. I know that the truth of it is that this most likely isn't a viable pregnancy, I'm just trying to find something (anything) at this point to just get me through the weekend. This sucks......
