Would it be wrong too...
wear white pants and fancy tank to a
back yard wedding reception (not the actual wedding- this is just the party- the wedding was weeks ago)
the invite says dress comfortable
and the weather for tomorrow is not super hot and I tend to be cold
I think I am going to be cold in a dress
is it wrong?
the tank would be a pinkish coral

I don't think it would be wrong, but if there is anything else you can go with wearing I would. Sometimes if you have to ask then err to side of caution and just go with another plan. You might have a bride on your hands who would be deeply *gasp* *drama* offended so it may not be worth the risk.

I think pants & a tank is absoluetly fine, and the white is probably fine.
I'd say no, but you said these friends are laid back right? And since it's not a ceremony, and you aren't wearing a white dress, I think it comes off as summery, and not " I wanna be the bride", so I think its fine.

the only summer pants I have are white and I don't want to spend money
she is NOT a girly girl- she was in the Navy and is now a volunteer fire fighter
I bet people will be wearing shorts and jeans
I don't feel right wearing jeans
I hate these "inbetween" type events
what the hell does dress comfortable mean???

I think that means wear whatever the heck you want, so I'd go with the white pants if you want to.

I think that would be fine. to me, dress comfortably implies casual, so pants would definitely be appropriate. I don't think the fact that they are white is a big deal either. White pants are a summer staple and its not like you are wearing all white.

comfortable to me = sweats but of course, i would never wear those to a party
i think wearing white pants is totally fine. it's usually these kind of parties, like you said, where people show up in jeans, shorts and t-shirts and you feel overdressed, after thinking you would be underdressed lol
wow..did that make any sense

it was very nice
I was very impressed
I ended up wearing white pants and the tank
I was perfectly dressed and NOT the only one wearing white (some white skirts and pants)
most of the guys were wearing shorts
and the girls in dresses were freezing
so I made the right call!
