Just felt I should say thank you...
I know there are so many people out there who become very passionately involved in causes relating to animals.
but my post specifically relates to those who do it for cats...i saw this horrible story on the news the other day of a shelter who killed so many little kittens within hours of coming in because they "may" have been exposed to a rabid animal. For some reason I can't get it out of my head.
When I adopted my two babies 3 years ago I wasn't aware of how much of an issue the overpopulation of cats is. And since then I really have tried to talk everyone I know into adopting cats for this reason. And have done whatever I could to support the shelter that we adopted from.
But I have to salute those of you in this world who foster kittens and work in shelters because everytime I think about what could have happened to my guys if they didin't wind up in the hands of such a compassionate person (her name is Debbie) what could have happened to them. Somehow or another Debbie got her hands on this litter from Georgia (which I'm still confused about) and they were in bad shape, had pretty bad worms, etc. And nursed them back to health so that DH and I could adopt two of them. They're such a huge part of our family. I get sick thinking about would could have happened if they weren't rescued at all or got in the hands of the wrong "shelter".
Thank you to all of the passionate people who have the heart enough to know how much an animal can effect a human being and committ to protecting them.
Sorry, that news piece really just resonated with me.

I agree, we definitely have to salute people who help cats and kittens. There are SO many unwanted cats, it is devastating. Bless those who help them
