do all 3rd tri bellies grow like they were fed miracle grow?
my belly is growing very fast in the 3rd tri. since 30 weeks, you literally can see a difference from week to week!
I'm a bit nervous becuase I have GD... my sugars are under control mercifully, but I'm still concerned that Scone could have a tad too much baking soda in his dough....
oh, I should add that as of yet, my belly measurements have been 'normal' at my dr. appts.... but so much changes in 2 weeks!

Of cousre they do! Baby is growing that fast now @ 1/2 lb per week + fluids to accomodate. The change is really obvious from week to week. Totally normal!

Yep, I swear that mine is growing by the day! Plus, it is much bigger by the end of the day then it starts out in the morning. I've been having stretching pains at the top of my belly because I just don't think my stomach can stretch at the same rate that this kid is growing.

mine is growing but I am not gaining much weight. Does weight gain level off in the third trimester as well?

Mine has. I have gained maybe a pound or two in the past 4 weeks. Much less than I had been gaining in the first and second trimesters.

according to my labor DVD, leveling off of weight gain is one of the earliest signs that the end is near 
I'm not there yet, though..

OMG, I do too! I couldn't tell if it was due to my belly, my bra, or both... I changed the bra, and it's a smidge better, but still very there....
boy is it tender up there 
it's good to know that the super-rapid growth isn't partially influenced by GD. I'm a bit paranoid because of that

I have to admit...I've been showing since my 4 month...and the difference is amazing at my 8 month...everyone thinks I'm having twins...and I keep telling them..NO..lol
The baby is growing at warp speed now..and you also have to keep include the placenta and amniotic fluid..

Ya all of a sudden I feel like a swallowed a watermelon. Everyone seems to think I look ok. But I am at the point where vanity is out the window. I just wanna FEEL good.

I haven't gained an ounce in over a month because of the GD but my belly is getting bigger for sure. I think I've lost a few pounds but the baby has gained so for now my weight is stable. I still have 7 weeks.........I wonder how much bigger my belly will grow. Scary!!!!!! It's already uncomfortable!!!
