Vet prices
So I just called to see how much my vet visit is going to cost me tomorrow - sandy needs a yearly exam, heartworm test and her rabies shot
20 for the rabies shot - not that bad
52 for the exam - seems high
and
42 - for the heartworm test - that seems VERY high to me
what does your vet charge?

That's about what we pay. In July, Lilly got her exam, distemper vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm pills and I think it came to about $225. 
We go to a vet in Hewlett. I love the practice, but the prices are a bit ridiculous.

mine also charges for an office visit, so all those fees + a $55 office visit. yours does charge an office visit fee?

I love my Vet
he will only charge for the shots not an office visit- which is $42 (or about that)
Maggie needs to go in for 3 shots

yes $52 is for the annual exam (office visit)
if she was just going in for a shot, they only charge for that

I feel like the prices are out of control.
While my visit is only $30 they charge me for each of the two dogs when I bring them the same time.
Last vet bill was $680 for shots for 1 dog only and a $180 thyroid test for the other dog, which came out negative.
I am currently looking for a new vet.

We paid $300.00 for Porter a few months ago. He got Heartworm test and Pills, All his shots, stool check and we bought his food for like 40 bucks. The whole thing came to like 320. so we paid like 280 and we get a free office visit when we go for yearly shots
