expecting party!

i think i wanna have a big expecting party instead of a tradional ladies only shower. i would like to invite my friends, DH friends our fam, kids etc w/ DJ....
it took us forever to get preg and we just want a big PARTY. it would be ok if it could be thrown outdoors but it wont happen since i am due in JAN.
any ideas where to have it? I was thinking like a Knights of Columbus where u get it catered w/ your own vendor, ya know buffet style not a formal sit down pay per person event. ANY IDEAS of places that do this?

Firehouses have rooms you can rent. I had called one near me and they said they would do all the setting up and cleaning up and could use their kitchen for a fee. Just had to book a caterer for food.. their are soo many good food places so that wouldnt be hard.
