What should I expect at the first Doctor appointment?
Does Dh need to be there?

My DH has been to all of my appts since day 1. I had bloodwork and a sono when I went.

Bloodwork and depending on how many weeks you are, a sono. DH can always come with you if you and he want.

I just had a sono. My first appointment DH did not come with me. He tried but if he can't because of work, he can't.

DH came and we got to see the baby on the vag. ultrasound and all, but my doctor doesnt schedule first visits until 8 weeks so there was more to see/do. Not sure what the appt. would be like earlier.

my husband will not miss one appt. I tell him it is ok for him to stay home if he wants but he still insists. As for first appt. I just had a consultation with NP and a lot of blood work drawn, and a pap since i was due. As for a sono i was too early. That preg. didnt end well so now im soo nervous to go alone to any appt.
