Is it bad that Im painting?
Im painting the nursery...is that really bad for me? Im off for the summer so I want to just PAINT...but I feel bad.

Why do you feel bad? Do you have the windows open for good ventilation?
I painted my bathroom door when I was pregnant with baby#1.
My motto was...if you want something done...do it yourself..

I painted a month or so ago too.. it would have never gotten done if I didnt! I used paint that was odor free and opened all 3 windows in the room. Listen to your nose.. if the smell bothers you.. its probably not a good idea to continue.. but otherwise go for it! And be careful on ladders and things of course

I painted ours, no big deal. Wear a mask and open a window.

It really depends on the nature of the paint, and your ventilation. Wear a mask regardless, and try to use water-based or latex paints only.

I dont think its bad.. I will be doing the nursery as well as my other kids room this weekend getting ready.. Like another poster said is if you want it done you have to do it yourself.. I cant wait on DH.

I'm actually going to start painting our downstairs bathroom today--no windows in there. I also have to paint the wainscoting, but I can do that in another room--unfortunately throwing open the windows isn't an option because it's been in the upper 90s every single day 
I'm going to take frequent breaks, but my OB told me it's not a problem, that people do it all the time.

i helped DH paint the baby's room... the fumes didn't bother me, if they had i would have stopped. i am sure you're fine

My doctor said it was fine as long as it's not lead paint and there is ventilation. Just make sure you are not drinking diet soda when you do it!

I painted too!! I opened all the windows and took frequent breaks and I was fine. Happy painting!!

my Dr said I shouldnt paint. When DH was painting they told me to just keep the house well ventilated.

I tried painting a couple weeks ago and had to stop because the smell made me nauseaous  I am a little nervous because we are having the whole house painted on Wednesday and DH thinks we might need to get a hotel room because of the smell...
Anyone else had a big painting project like that happen while you were preggo?
