How Late Is Late?

Sorry to crash ... I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but since I'm sure most of you have gone through something similar to this I thought you would be able to help. I've been on the pill for 4.5 years. It was the same one the entire time (Yasmin), and I stopped taking it two months ago. We're not TTC yet, and have been using condoms, although we wouldn't be disappointed if I do get pregnant. The first month I got my period 2 days later than expected. This month I should have gotten it on Wednesday, 7/23 my cycle is 28 days, but if the last time was an indication that I have a 30 day cycle, I should have gotten it on Friday, 7/25. We didn't have any issues with the condoms, although I suppose there is always a chance that some of my husband's "guys" could slip through.

So my question is, at what point should I seriously consider that I may be pregnant? Right now I'm assuming that the pill threw off my cycle, and my body is adjusting to the hormones (or lack of). How long would you wait before taking a pregnancy test? I'm not worried either way because we'd be happy to have a child, but I also know that going off the pill can really throw things off.

I would say about 5-7 days late

I would have taken the test on Friday already.

ETA: I got a BFP on my missed day with all my pregnancies.

Coming off the pill it can take several months for your body to adjust and get into a normal routine. If you go a week or two I would take a test.

I am not sure since I know coming off the pill can screw with your cycles. I have gotten all of my BFP's before or on the day AF was due.

6/25??? Do you mean june or july? If it is june, you should test, you are more than 1 month late. If you mean july, I would wait a few more days~ who am I kidding? POAS!!!!

Wait, I read wrong, I thought you said you were due on 7/23- if AF was due a month ago you should definitely test - and if it comes up negative you should definitely call your doctor.

I was on the pill for a long time, and when I went off I was sooo irregular, I would say 2 weeks

i was on birth control for almost 10 years and i was never more than a few days late - it sounds like you are over a month late!

i would test ASAP, i don't know how you have held out for this long

Ha, ooops!! Sorry about that, I meant July. I've been working too hard!

I have to be honest though, this little "uncertainty" is making me think maybe I will start TTC if this doesn't pan out. It's pretty exciting not knowing if I'm pg or not.
