Spinoff on baby names
Do the first and middle names really have to "go together?" If you are choosing a middle name to honor a loved one, and like a first name that doesn't necessarily go with it, does it matter? How often does someone use their first and middle names anyway?

I also just need the name to flow....for when I shout it at the kid so he/she stops what they are doing immediately. I don't want to get toungue tied.

Well I think you want it to sound nice together, but if there is a name that has a lot of signifigance that doesn't go with anything I don't see a huge problem using is.
We are naming  Gavin Gerard. I think it flows OK, but I'm not a huge fan of the initials "GG". People have already commented about it

I like to think that the names should flow...but I think the more often you hear two names together, the more you think they go together anyway.

I think this is true. If someone put my first and middle name together i would think ew they don't go together because they both end in "n." But I am so used to them they go together now.
