Those people in hiding to your families...
How do you deal with explaining the fatigue?
I swear my Mom, brother, SIL and extended family think I am a lazy piece of cr@p because I don't want to go out with them until all hours of the night, furniture shop, clean or redecorate my house.
I hate that I am experiencing these first 3 months during the summer when we literally have houseguests coming EVERY weekend from now until the end of August (we live OOT from most of our family except my Mom).
What are some good excuses?????? I swear I've used 'em all!

I told people my last pregnancy that I had a severe strep infection. This explained why I wasn't drinking, the tiredness, etc. Of course I reassured them that my doctor said all would be fine in a few weeks.

I definitely agree with using the sick excuse. When I would be out with coworkers at happy hours, I would say that I was on medication and that's why I didn't want to drink.
With family and friends, when I didn't feel up to going out, I would always say that work was so busy and that I was too tired or that I had an early morning meeting and needed to get to bed early.
Good luck!

I just used the "I have to work late" excuse to get out of cocktails with my girlfriends tonight....
