Question about cramps.
Ok I get really bad stomach cramps from IBS which is made worse by taking metformin. I also have been crampy since the beginning of pregnancy. Now that I am almost 15 weeks I am worried that I won't be able to tell the difference between these "normal" cramps, and "bad" cramps that mean something is wrong.
Do they feel the same? Is there a way to tell the difference? I am so scared I am going to miss the signs of IC or preterm labor.

Re: Question about cramps.
I have had AF like cramps through my whole PG on and off. The only cramp I had that was scary was when I had round ligament pain and they do not feel like bathroom pain. Please just think positively. Don't think of something bad happening.

Re: Question about cramps.
I have cramps all the time. I asked the dr last week, she said cramps are ok. Cramps with RED blood not ok. Don't worry.

Re: Question about cramps.
I have IBS as well, among other stomach issues...
My philospohy on cramps is this-- unless it's REALLY painful, and lasts a VERY long time... and is coupled with bleeding, I am not going to worry.
I will wonder that it's normal-- but, I will not get stressed about it.

Re: Question about cramps.
I also have cramps pretty often, I think as long as I'm not bleeding with the cramps all is OK.

Re: Question about cramps.
Hmmm, my pregnancy cramping really slowed down after 20 weeks. Maybe you could schedule an extra dr visit or 2 to ease your mind in the next few weeks. But I def think you will know the difference between your usual IBS and labor. Talk to your dr though
