spinoff to bigger cars.... messier cars?!
I don't know why, but it didn't click in my head until some others posted it.... Scone will totally be trashing the backseat of my pristine car, won't he  ?
I have to figure out a way to protect the upulstory  I swear that backseat looks like it did when it rolled off of the lot... I really don't want it to be totally trashed!
I hope there's a way.....

So true - this is why when we got the new car we also got (fake) leather seats instead of fabric!
Maybe you can scotch guard fabric seats?

I'm 99% sure there is a mat you can put down to protect your seats. I'm insane about having a clean car and will not allow meatball to make mine a disaster.

The mats that go under the carseats are NOT considered safe.
When we purchased our Santa Fe, we paid a little extra for lifetime protection against stains on the upholstery.
Sadly, part of becoming a parent is having to let go of control and neatness.

well, the mats that go under the seat don't protect the upulstory from spills, rather from dents / the carseat itself... I'm not worried about THAT.
Maybe I'll put towels on the 2 sides of the carseat in case of spills / spit-ups the floor has the mat which can be cleaned... definitely need to keep papertowels in the car....
sorry to say, you can't tell a german girl to let go of neatness......

I learned the hard way that I should have put something down on the backseats! I have milk stains etc. Now under her car seat I have a blanket that covers the entire back seat. I recently also had my car detailed inside.

I always have these in my truck anyway for DH....but if you have a lease or are really worried about the condition of your car I highly recommend them.

I'm sure it will be every morning... but then it will be tidied up again... maybe not perfectly, but at least to a functional level
seriously, you cannot underestimate that urge to keep a basal level of cleanliness. between me and mom, the apt WILL stay clean. Trust me, the drive is very strong. I've had many challenges in my life when it seemed like this would be the last thing on my mind, and still, there was organization. In our culture, living in mess simply won't be tolerated.... even if the extended family needs to band together to correct the sitaution.
ah the benefits of family!

OMG that is genius! We own our car, but it IS only a year old, and we'd like it to survive quite a while
those look like the solution! It even comes in a grey similar to our interior.

We got funky ones for our last truck and I really liked it. We got a truck off the lot and I hated the interior so I funked it up with the seat covers. When we turned in the lease the guy at the dealership could not believe how pristine the seats still were.

I have some cheerios and lollipops stuck to the mat in the back seat of my truck. There are plenty of kick marks on the back of my seat too. Some stuff just can't be avoided.
