Re: prolapsed umbilical cord

I have to get weekly biophysicals and NST's now because my cord is down before the baby's head. She said if my water breaks right now, I have to get to the hospital immediately for a c-section. I wanted to see if this happened to anyone and was it detected before hand or if it was, if the cord moved!

it's great that they caught it before it becomes an emergency! good luck to you! I would think they would schedule a C section early , no?

Re: prolapsed umbilical cord

She said if it doesn't move on its own then I will have to schedule a c-section. I am 32 weeks and she wants me to go for weekly biophysicals and NST's and then at 36 weeks I have another sonogram appt. and then we will make a decision then about c-section or not.

Of course I started Lamaze today and asked the lady and now I feel like a freak b/c she said and everything I read says this is very very very rare!
