How do you get a 5 year old

To get bloodwork done? I tried to take my daughter once before and she flipped- the other people getting there bloodwork done started freking out b/c she was screaming so loud. But she had strep a few weeks ago, and i can tell there is something wrong with her, and now she has a phlemy cough in her chest and im starting to bug out so i want her white blood cells checked.
Does anyone know how to get them to actually sit?

Some kids have a fear and some don't... My son is almost 5 and he couldn't care less... I reward him though with Ice Cream afterwards or something like that and I try to talk to him while it's getting done to distract him... Good luck!

My daughter had blood work drawn last week she is 6, I sat her on my lap facing out and held her down in the seat (she wasn't gonna move if I could help it), she was pretty calm , almost started freaking out on me, but I told her to look th eother way and I talked to her about what we were going to do after the appt. My middle daughter had to get LOTS of blood draws from 12 months on, and I would practically have to sit on her and pin her down to keep her arm flat and still, I see parents do it all the time, if you need to get the blood drawn you may have to use extreme force to get it done, it's over quick and maybe once it is done she'll realize it wasn't so bad afterall. Good luck, it's worse on us parents than it is on them!!
