Its not looking good for me UPDATE 1pm
As you can imagine, I have been up most of the night. After speaking with Dr. K and researching a bit on my own. It is clear to me that IF this progesterone number is correct, the egg quality has likely been compromised and the cycle should be cancelled.
I am devastated beyond belief as this is the second time I have had an ivf go into stims over 7 days and then be cancelled. Granted last time I only had 3 follies but this time I have 11 gorgeous follies that will go to waste.
FTR it is totally correct of them to test progesterone and even recommend cancelling if it is too high as studies have shown the likelihood of pg in cycles where there is high prog is VERY low. Some people do not remain suppressed on micro lupron, lucky me I seem to be one.
Anyway, I would get AF and then take a break, probably resume with an ivf in Sept. But should i stick with LI IVF or try Cornell, or some place else. I think I do get good care at LI IVF. I think Dr. K is extremely conscientious. I just wonder if this level should have been caught earlier. It was 1.2 when I went in on Sat which is still a little high for a successful IVF. I will find out tomorrow what it was when I started.
It will be a total PIA for me to go to Cornell, even to the Garden City office but may be its worth it. The other thing is we do have ivf coverage through ins so I could not electively go out of pocket when I could do it "for free". I started a poll but its 3am and then I remembered about the insurance issue. UGH I don't know. My heart seriously cannot take much more of this roller coaster ride.
UPDATE 1pm Thanks girls. Gerty, that is wonderful advice and I think that is what I will do. We are lucky to have 2 ivf cycles covered through insurance (if I get cancelled again we will not have used any). So at this point I will have to stick with REs who accept our insurance. I saw Dr. K and he said my lining and follies look great. He said if he didn't know my progesterone he would think I am having a great cycle. He said if it stays the same or is lower (by some miracle) he recommends going forward. He said I have 2 more days of stims and everyday is a potential cancellation if my prog spikes. At this point I am waiting for the call. Half of me wants to continue and the other half is scared that this cycle will be a bust if we do. I really don't know. I just want to go back to yesterday when everything looked great.

Re: Its not looking good for me
I can tell you what I did and maybe it will help. I had cervical issues on top of the PCOS, Blocked tubes and age. Each transfer, I could feel it when Dr. K actually got through the cervix. Some times it was almost painful. Anyway...after doing eight transfers with no success, I decided to go for a few other opinions. LIIVF was on a break anyway, so I scheduled consults with Dr. Flisser @ RMA in Garden City, Dr. Spandorfer @ Cornell in NY and Dr. Zapantis @ East Coast. All my appointments were in July/August and I got all of my medical records from LIIVF before going to the consults. I was fully prepared to leave Dr. K if anyone had any other ideas for treatment for me. After reading my records, all three Drs. said they really wouldn't change my protocol or treatment. The only other idea that was put out was by Dr. Flisser and he said that the only other thing he might do is a hysteroscopy (I have a slightly T-Shaped uterus) and D&C to clean the scar tissue off my cervix. Other than that, noone offered any other ideas. I went back to Dr. K after their break and spoke to him about the consults and the D&C/Hysteroscopy idea and he agreed to do it. I got PG on the second transfer after the surgery. Whether the surgery had anything to do with it or not, we'll never know. But, the good thing about Dr. K is he will listen to other options and entertain them if he doesn't think they are ludicrous. It might be a good option for you if you don't want to travel into the city. And, if another RE suggests something completely different - you may want to change Drs. But, by going to a variety of consults, you open the door for more ideas and will get more information.
Good luck.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this
I totally agree with Gerty, def have other consults, and then make your choice.
As someone who pays out of pocket, I will tell you that everything adds up quick, even just consults can run up to $400-500 with no b/w or sonos
Good luck!

Re: Its not looking good for me
I am so sorry about this cycle. I feel like its my cycle being canceled too. I dont' know how to explain that. I know you must be so frustrated and so upset. Though the good thing from this is you know you can produce eggs.
Money is always an issue with this. If it wasn't I would be doing a cycle right now with my current RE while waiting to meet with someone at Cornell to see if they can offer up something else. Do you have out of network coverage on your insurance? I don't have IVF coverage so for us it doesn't matter where we go (and I think Cornell works with you to get some items covered, trying this with current RE and the finance dept has totally ignored me).
But, for me, I dont' want to keep doing IVF's and wonder if I should have gone to Cornell. And I really like the place I'm going to now. I just know I'm older and I need to get going on this. But, i suppose if I had coverage I would exhaust that first.
Give yourself some time to deal with this disappointment.

Ahh, Amanda, I am so sorry....how heartbreaking to go through this again. I agree with Gerty about getting other opinions. This way, you'll never have to wonder "what if", you know?
So sorry.....

Re: Its not looking good for me
Gerty gave such excellent advice. I would even ask Dr. K about not catching it early enough, maybe his rationale will make you feel better.
I'm so sorry for all of this. It's just so unfair.
