Has Anyone Ever Been To...

The Frisky Oyster on Front Street in Greenport and/or The Seafood Barge on Maid Road in Southold (at the Port of Egypt Marina)?

I am surprising DH with a romantic weekend at the vineyards and made reservations at those two restaurants. What are your thought? Does anyone have suggestions if those are not good?

Yes to all! I definitely pick the Frisky Oyster over the Seafood Barge. There's also the Red Lady Steakhouse which is very good. Across from Claudio's is The Scrimshaw which is great!

Thanks ladies! I was going to pick Scrimshaw, but picked Seafood Barge because it had more things on the menu that DH would like.

Frisky Oyster---- I thought there was too much hype, to be honest. ALso here you are in a lovely town with beautiful views all around, but the Frisky Oyster has no windows (except the store front windows in the bar), no view. I thought it was way over-priced so I was disappointed.

Claudios is fun for a drink and maybe some apps.... but my favorite rest. on the North Fork is in Jamesport.

I haven't been to the Seafood Barge in probably ten years or more but I always thought it was great.

I have been to the Seafood Barge and Claudios. Both were ok, seafood was fresh, dinner was good - but they didn't wow me, nor did they have the most romantic atmosphere.

When we went in October we ate at a new place, called the Fifth-Season. It was excellent! The service is fantastic and the food was unbelievable. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!

I've wanted to try the Frisky Oyster, never got there though.
The barge is good and Claudio's is great.
