Haircut for thick hair
I have ridiculously long hair, like to the middle of my back. I have been wanting to chop it for a while now. I can't find a style that will work for my very thick hair. Any time that I have gotten layers it just gets poofy.
Any advice? Good websites where I can find pictures?

I have the same issue - very thick hair when it it dry.
I have my stylist cut my hair to right below my shoulders, so I have enough for a pony tail.
In the front, she layers the front to create a rounder and softer face and the back is all one length.
This is me - I got it cut 2-3 weeks ago:

I have very thick hair and I actually have a short haircut. Its shorter in the back and longer on the sides, but the longest part comes just below my chin. I love it.

I have thick hair and it is short and choppy, shorter in back and a bit longer in the front and I flip it (for a cute style)

I actually don't have any pics! How horrible is that? I would take a pic now but I need a haircut really bad and didn't have time to really dry and straighten it today, so you wouldn't get a good idea of how it looks.
But I never thought I could have my hair short like this without it poofing out to the sides. I use a flat iron to get it smooth, and it looks great.
