Is it terrible if I...

Stop taking the progesterone?

I know I'm not pregnant. I tested today at 11dpiui and it's negative, and I just know my body, I'm not pregnant.

And the progesterone is really killing me. I'm breaking down crying every 10 minutes and I know it's not just because I'm sad or overwhelmed, a lot of it is because of the damn progesterone.

I don't want to endure another 2-3 days of unnecessary torture Chat Icon

Beth, I would call the doctor, but before I would go off of it there's always a slight chance you are pregnant even if you don't think so.

It's only for a few more days..I know the mood swings are tough, heck I cry at the drop of a hat and I'm on nothing.

I would continue it just b/c you never know

The one time I was pg I had NO IDEA, and that was after countless cycles of analyzing every little symptom

You should stay on it until the dr says otherwise, regardless of what the hpt says. call your dr and ask for an earlier beta, but you need to follow dr inxs.

I would stay on it. Both times I was pregnant, I had no idea, I felt like I was getting AF and the progesterone was making everything worse. You can hold out a few more days Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would continue - I told DH that i KNEW I wasn't pregnant - and sure enough my beta confirmed that I was. I wanted AF to come so that I could cancel my RE appt so I didn't have to make my copay and I could just go in for CD3 bloodwork! So keep taking it!!!

Re: Is it terrible if I...

How am I going to get through the weekend like this? I seriously start crying every 10 minutes. I cried all last night, all this morning. My poor DD is walking around asking everyone why her mommy is so sad. It's seriously killing me over here.

call your RE and try to go for a beta today just to make sure.

does your RE know about how the progesterone affects you? After 3 years on this board I don't remember anyone having this reaction from it.

Good luck!

I didn't even know it affects me like this. I was ok last cycle but this cycle it's over the top. I don't know if I can go in for a Beta today because my RE is close to home, and I'm already in the office. Perhaps tomorrow? I'll call her.

Re: Is it terrible if I...

yeah, just stay with it. 11DPiui is still really early to get a good test result. Try to do something fun later or something relaxing. Same with me as pp's I had no symptoms the month I got my BFP. (so I still wonder why I look for them every month).

You can do it. We'll all help you through it.

Honestly, I really don't understand how the progesterone can have that much of an effect on you that you would risk stopping it. Especially, since you had a progesterone issue.
The side effects are not that much different from regular PMS and if you were/are PG, you would be thrilled to have them. Take it for the next three days...I wouldn't risk losing a possible pregnancy for some minor side effects.

ITA! It's only 3 days. Just because you took a test today and you don't feel pregnant, doesn't mean that you aren't. Personally, I wouldn't chance it.

I do not have a progesterone issue - I'm on it merely as a precautionary measure. Every progesterone test I've taken, whether with endometrin or without, is way above 10.

I would stick with it. I didn't get a real positive on a home test until the day of my beta which was 13dp3dt.
