Posting this again-- anyone self-employed??
Is there anything you can do-- insurance wise or whatever, for when you go on "maternity"?

I didn't think so-- but I thought I would ask.
I saw an ad somewhere for some kind of self-provided disability-- but it's probably more trouble than it's worth.
We have money saved so I don't have to work for a year-- but, if there was anything else I could do to bring something in-- why not?

You probably could have purchased STD insurance (like AFLAC or something) but I believe you would have had to do that before you were pregnant.

Yes I believe it is also something like 3 or 4 months before you get pg too.

you know-- I had contacted Aflac a while ago-- and it's so hard to get through to people there. No one ever got back to me with a quote.
I would still have to pay now-- then I would get money when I was on "disability"?
I mean-- I guess it's not any different than saving extra on our own anyway, right?
