Lexie has never been one to lick, snuggle, or show any signs of affection toward us. She was in a high kill shelter before we rescued her, and is QUITE the barker...so who knows what she went through as far as being yelled at, etc. I know that when we got her, no one else was looking at her because she was causing such a ruckus with the barking. She's very scared and shy as well.

Anyway, suddenly, now that we have another dog, Lexie is showing us that she loves us. I don't know if she is jealous of Shelby always cuddling us and kissing us or what it is, really.

But today when I got home from working a few hours, Lexie actually jumped up (she NEVER jumps either) and licked me a few times...she was so happy to see me. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon She was wagging her tail so fast that I thought she was going to knock herself over. Chat Icon

I'm so glad. Chat Icon I was so nervous that she would be jealous of Shelby but she's not. Just wanted to share. Chat Icon
