UTI anyone?
my dr. just called. They said they just got in the results from the urine sample I left at my first appt (a week and a half ago) and they detected a slight infection. She said they caught it early so she's calling in an antibiotic for me.
My question is, first, have any of you had a UTI while pregnant?
Second, I know she said they caught it early, but really, that urine sample was from June 26, that's a week and a half ago already, I'm sure it's progressed by now, i hung up before I thought to ask, but do you think I should be worried, or no?

as long as it is not in your kidneys then you caught it in time. I had a UTI everytime I went to the Dr during my first tri. Its common.

Same thing happened to me. She said it was totally normal ( I had NO signs of it). It was group B Strep. They put me on an anti-biotic and it was ampicillin (sp). Made me completely sick. I think I had every stinking side effect you could have. Don't worry.

I have also had 2 so far. It is very common during pregnancy, especially in the summer

ugh, that's what they put me on, ampicillin. Well, I haven't had any m/s yet and have been worried about that...if this makes me sick, I guess I should be careful what I ask for.

I just finished taking antibiotics 2 weeks ago for a UTI I didn't know I had. I'm in my 2nd tri. I forgot what I took but I took it twice a day for 7 days.
