NYC (Downtown) - Passport
in layman's terms please...
got married two years ago...changed my name, didn't get a new passport w/married name...want to do that now.
Where can I go (any post office?)
and
What information do I need to bring with me? Will my drivers' license, marriage certificate, social security card, and maiden-name passport be enough?

you just renew through the mail, sending in your CERTIFIED marriage certificate.
it's like a renewal, but there's a special section for the name change part.
I just did this and had it back in less than 2 weeks, with my old passport AND my marriage cert back too.
see section 3 regarding name change

I just did this and had it back in less than 2 weeks, with my old passport AND my marriage cert back too.
