All this talk about glasses etc........

I actually have an eye dr appointment for Juyl 19 and I need new glasses. Where I go is has older ladies (like 50+) working there so trying to pick out glasses is hard for me because I dont know what looks good with my face.
Any tips on picking out glasses? How do you chose which frames you decide on?

Are you going to a place that has them all on display where you can touch them or do you have to ask for help?

I personally switched and went to a place where I could go around and try on frames. I was sick of people handing me what they thought would look good on me. I am heavy and they always gave me the most simple, plain looking frames, like they were afraid to give me something a little bit different.

When I picked them out myself I ended up picking out a great dark pair that is green on the sides and somewhat trendier. I was so happy to have gone with something different.

you have to try on a bunch and if you like the way you look in the mirror with them, as in, is the reflection pleasing to you when you look in the mirror- that is how you find ones you like.

any one that you like grab and take with you then narrow down at the end

it takes a good 30-45 minutes to find the right pair, imho
