lesson learned
i was totally about to give up on my ped egg b/c it just wasn't working that well anymore... well i saw refills (silly me didn't even realize you could GET refills) at BBB and got them... i am so happy i did! my feet are nice and smooth again 
never again will i doubt you, ped egg... or go three months without putting in a refill!!

i have the refills - that's the only reason I let DH use it 
He has his own grater piece

my DH is lucky - his feet are always insanely smooth no matter what he does
