Slept 4 hours last night

Why? Because of the sciatica that refuses to let up. After 4 hours of sleeping in various positions, the pain was too searing, and I needed to get up and walk.

So much for catching up on some sleep during my summer vacation. Chat Icon

Re: Slept 4 hours last night

I've been there, I hope you feel better.

Have you tried sleeping on the couch with your back elevated, and your leg that hurts on the back of the couch, and your leg that doesn't hurt on top of a pillow.

Yes, this is the only position that would let me sleep with sciatica.

I just dozed for about an hour on the couch with an icepack under my butt/thigh on the right side. I was able to get a little bit of relief that way. I can lay on the couch with my leg up on the back, but not for very long before my leg goes numb. Chat Icon

My chiropractor says he has probably seen about 1000 pregnant woman, and that I'm about the 2nd who hasn't responded at all to adjustments and stretches Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Janine, did you sleep on the couch that whole time that you had the sciatica? I slept part of last night on the floor and actually got about 1/2 hour that way...

It just sucks to be SOOOOOO tired and not be able to sleep. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Yes, I had to sleep on the couch for about 3 months otherwise I didn't sleep at all. It was very frustrating not being comfortable. I also found that if I slept with my butt in the dip that the couch makes between the two cushions, it took pressure off of my hips.
