BF and AF question. (TMI)

I have been breastfeeding for 5 months and just got AF for the first time yesterday. The reason I am puzzled is I have never got my AF this bad, and I was at the gym yesterday right before I got it. I had a c-section and I am back to my normal work out so I was doing abs and I felt a pinch/pull by my scar, when I went to the bathroom I was bleeding pretty bad. I just chocked it up to the fact that I haven't gotten AF yet. Any input would be great, thanks.

My 1st Af was sooooo bad...my DR told me it would be!

JUST GOT mine this week too after bfing for 5 months, it was pretty heavy abd i was crampy all last week, I was covinced something was wrong or i was pregnany, but then AF reared her ugly little head.

My first AF was sooooo bad that I thought I was hemorrhaging, so I called my OB/GYN and he said come in right away, turned out It was just a very heavy period. My doctor also said the the 1st few periods will be heavy. I had a lot of pain and pulling by my c-section scar too. To this day I still get pain by my scar when I get AF, and my DD is 6 months.

Thanks for the responses. I was thinking i was crazy. I can not get over how bad it is. I am glad it isn't just me. Thanks again.
