Ques: could you just blow it out yourself?

they didn't use a flat iron right?

I was a slave to the flat iron and although its great, I find its also very damaging to your hair. Esp if you hair is in good shape now....you dont want to do that.

I section my hair, use a gloss serum, take a big brush and blow out.
3 sections, top one I do flippies with for a little body.

Re: hair straighening help needed

I have curly hair that I blow dry straight. I don't use a straight iron everyday, only for special occasions because I don't want to kill my hair.

I use Joico Silk Result Straight Smoother Blowdry Cream. A little goes a long way with this stuff and I use a big round brush and section my hair off. If I want it flatter straight, I just blowdry. If I want it a little bouncier, I take the sections and after I blowdry them I put them in velcro rollers. I have fine hair and it's the only way to get body. I don't use any product once it's dry, unless it's humid or something and I use w8less hairspray by rusk!

HTH!!!

Edited to add: My straightening iron is from my stylist. It's a conair but it's for professional use and I've had it for so many years, I don't know the model. It's ceramic and only about 1-inch thick. Chat Icon
