Weight gain
So...in total from April 16 (when i got the BFP and went to the Dr. that day for blood) i gained 4 lbs. I am pretty happy with that. And since my last visit at 12w to yesterday, i only gained 1lb (i am now 14w 4d)
How did everyone else do??? Were a lot of people gaining a little in the beginning and then put more on later??? I am so scared of weight gain as i am prone to blow up like a balloon.

Re: Weight gain
Yes at the begining I didn't gain anything but about four pounds.. After week 18 though it has been a whole different story.

Re: Weight gain
I follow this chart... Weight Chart
I am exactly where I should be at this point... you just tend to gain more in the 2nd & 3rd tri.

Re: Weight gain
Yep.. I was a slow starter
By 20weeks I was at 4lbs
Then between 20-25 weeks I gained a total of 12lbs Between 25-29weeks I gained 8lbs more.
So I am up 24lbs at 30weeks total

Wow, that chart makes me sad. I was up 25lbs at 25 weeks and my Dr. thinks that is fine. According to that chart I am already at the maximum of what I should have gained for my entire pregnancy. I was pretty much average weight when I got pregnant. I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain unless your Dr. tells you to start watching it. Everyone is different.

Re: Weight gain
According to that chart, I was underweight prepregnancy, so I am way off from where the chart says I should be at 18 weeks. I think my body needed to put on the weight it should normally be, plus the baby weight...or i am making up excuses for gaining 20!

Re: Weight gain
Not a fan of the chart either. It's giving me a 15 lb weight gain for my whole pregnancy.

D, you are doing great! I gained 10 pounds in 6 months. Everyone is different. You just need to remember that you are PREGNANT and you will gain. But, you will look beautiful!!!

Re: Weight gain
The chart has me where I am exactly...but honestly everyone gains weight at their own pace. I have a friend that was touting that she didn't gain any weight in the beginning and then literally blew up and gained a lot more weight than she should have, so everyone is different and gains weight at a different pace!!!
