8 weeks..

So on Thurs I'll be 8 weeks. I feel bloated ALL THE TIME. People are noticing I may be preggo but are afraid to ask. My question is....why do I look like I could be showing? I read you really don't show until about 12 weeks.

I'm in good shape but my abdomen is always puffy..no matter how long I'm on the elliptical :) Why do some women not even look preggo and here I am at 8 weeks..and people are looking at me sideways?

just curious what the story is with this.

8 weeks, you are going to look puffy, it's just bloat that a lot of women get.

Make sure that you are not 'working out' your stomach to keep it tight. I was told in the very beginning of pregnancy, no more crunches, sit ups, or stomcah workouts.

I just posted the same thing on another thread. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I feel huge. And I look very...thick. No belly, just solid and puffy all around. And I constantly feel bloated. I attributed it to gas because at my first sono the tech said she saw a gazillion gas bubbles. great. But also then on here I read it could be water retention as well. But I'm right there with you.

I def think I look fatter then usual. I walk around holding my stomach so people know I am expecting not just getting fatter

Are you able to suck it in anymore? I'm not, I never had a flat stomach, but never had a big belly either, just a little something in the front but I was ALWAYS able to suck it in. I can't anymore. I tried and I can't. Suucks.

I had serious bloat in the beginning. My stomach was huge, especially after eating. I got a bella band around 8 or 9 weeks b/c a lot of pants, especially suits, were difficult to close. Bloat is very common early on.

im right there with you. 7w2d and i am so bloated nothing fits and I just feel disgusting. the only thing that makes me smile is DH saying its the baby and i love it. LOL only if he knew it is bloat not baby yet. We should just be happy that we can still see our toes and this point.

Def having a hard time sucking it in. I was always pretty flat so I guess this is just driving me nuts!

My pants are tight now as well and I already bought some banded bottoms (how comfortable are THEY!) I love them!

I also put my hands on my belly so people know i'm preggo not just puttin on the pounds..haha. who cares anyway? in anothe 3 weeks we're gonna be poppin out :)

people told me that i was rubbing my belly; thats how they knew and i didnt even know i was doing it

I def feel bloated, I just turned 9 weeks. I'm plus size though, so I can't decipher the original belly from the new belly yet! Clothes are still fitting, sometimes uncomfortable, but they fit.
