Dogs and Furniture

My husband and I are trying to decide if we should get a leather or microfiber sofa. We currently have a leather sofa. We do allow our dog on the sofa and she sometimes likes to dig at the seat cushions. Thankfully, she doesn't do it that often.

But I'm really not sure if microfiber would hold up with her scratching. However she is a small dog.

What is your opinion? Leather or microfiber?

We have microfiber and lucky scratches every so often. So far it has been fine. The only thing i hate, porter is not allowed on the couch but he rubs up against it and his hair is everywhere. It sticks to the couch like glue. I am constantly vaccuming it. But we were gonna go leather but didn't because of the dogs

I have a mini dachshund who LOVES to dig. I have a microfiber couch and it has been fine. I tell Leo to stop digging when I catch him but when we aren't home, who know what he does! In any case, that friggin couch is indestructible!!

I have microfiber and I want to get rid of it in the worst way! My dog's hair sticks to it like crazy!

Hmmm...I'm thinking maybe leather is the way to go because my dog sheds like crazy.

We have leather couches. They are great for my two yorkies - if we had any other type of fabric, we'd be screwed!
