I am really annoyed!
I called my dr. for my ultrascreen results - they called me back and said "Everything is normal"
Um, hello - this is not "results"
I said i wanted to know my ratio and the receptionist didnt even know what that meant!!!
She said, "Oh, its 1.2" When did one point two become a ratio!!!

That must have been the nuchal fold measurement. I think a lot of offices just say "normal" but maybe you could ask that the doctor call you back. he may be able to give you numbers. sorry they didn't tell you more.

thanks, im sure that it was the NT measurement but I'm just annoyed that everytime I call for results they say "normal"
that is not a #
especially with something as important as this

I would call them back and let them know that you want to discuss all test results with a nurse or the Dr

I just had the same problem. It turned out that all of my results were not back yet, the blood work wasn't. So I thought i was getting all of the results and asked if i could have the ratio. She said that comes later with an AFP. I thought that was an upcoming test. I was only given the nuchal fold measurement from the sonogram. WHen I actually went to the office I found out that it all wasn't back yet.

Call back and talk to the doctor. But honestly, this isn't something to get all worked up about. I didn't even call for these results, they were just discussed with me at my next appointment.
If there is a problem,they will call you

I hear what you are saying, but if the doctor thought you'd need an amnio, she would call you. When I failed my 1 hour, I got a call!

Did you set up an appointment for genetic counseling? Usually they recommend you do this if you are 35 or over. During the genetic counseling visit you will have a lengthy discussion about the results of the ultrascreen. With both of my pregnancies I had genetic counseling about my ultrascreens before I even talked to the doctor about the results. The genetic counseling actually helped me determine whether or not I would have an amnio.
