Oh boy, did I fail...
Just got the results from my glucose test. My doc said the cutoff was 129 to pass. My blood sugar was 181!  And I fasted. I told him I didnt want to do the 3 hr and just to put me on the diet, but he is concerned with how high it is and insists I go for the 3 hr

alot of people fail the 1 hour and still pass the 3 hour by alot. Just give it a wirl.. you only have to drink the drink once for the 3 hour.

Thanks, I don't think I will pass (and frankly, neither does my doc) because I did fast and it was that high, but he says it is necessary just to monitor how fast my body does break down the sugar, so they can better regulate the diet.
This sux!! Pregnancy is the one darn time we shouldn't have to watch what we eat!!

I failed my 1hr too and I told the nurse I am not taking the 3hr. I just started my diet and monitoring (I kept my diet and monitor from when I was pregnant w/Hayley) The nurse even agreed w/me that I most likely would not pass the 3hr...why torture myself and waste my time to take the 3hr.

I felt the same exact way after i failed the 3 hour with my dd. I thought "how unfair.. i want to eat!".. but truthfully the diet isnt that bad... you can still eat somethings you want, just gotta eat a big bowl of salad with it.. the fiber counteracts the carb absorption!
