Leg Cramps
***. For the past three days I have had such bad leg cramps. I was almost in tears this morning, because traffic was so bad and I was in stop and go traffic for 1 1/2hr. My right leg was cramping so bad I could hardly drive. Driving seems to make it really bad, especially in traffic and at night if I turn the wrong way, I have a cramp in my right leg around the knee area. Has anyone have/ had this. If so is there anything I can do. I am completely dreading driving home from work or going to bed tonight.

Re: Leg Cramps
I just read that if you are getting leg cramps, heat will help.
If you get them in the middle of the night, stretch out your leg by pushing your heel out. That is what I've been doing when I feel a cramp coming on, and it works.

Re: Leg Cramps
sounds like sciatica. I've had this consistently since I was 8 weeks (I'm now 15 weeks). I got in the car to drive to a workshop that I'm supposed to be attending. I got 5 minutes up the road and my leg hurt so badly that I turned around and came home. There was no way I was going to be able to sit for 7 hours today.

Do you do anything for this or are you just waiting for it to go away on its own.

Re: Leg Cramps
If it is sciatica...try stretching...it might alliviate some pressure.

The only thing that works for me to make it better is to go for long walks, swim, or hit the gym. If I have a "movie night" (like I did last night), it's much worse the next day.
I use an ice pack on my lower back/upper leg a few times a day, and I also see a chiropractor twice per week.
I am hoping and praying that it goes away soon. I hope you find some relief!

Re: Leg Cramps
I get these in the morning. sort of like charlie horse cramps. Man they are the worse. And it hurts for the whole day. It comes from a lack of calcium. So up your calcium intake as well. But stretching can help to for some people. I know the feeling and its not fun at all.
