have you filled out your disabilty papers yet?
If yes how far along were you?
(I'm just about 7 months and I have not yet)

i havent but ive been trying to for the past 2 months and had trouble with my job. then yesterday i found out i had to call this number and basicly do it myself meanwhile i throught my job was supposed to do it so i just wasted all this time. my hr lady dosnt know what shes doing. now by the time i get my money ill probably be back at work
if i were you id get on that.

people told me to get them and fill them out so as soon as u can send them in they are ready because its a whole process.
i dunno i hear so many things i dont know what to belive anymore.

I'm "the HR lady" at my Firm and handle all the disability claims. If you're talking about NY's DB450 form for short term disability you can not submit it until after you become disabled. The turn around time for payment is very fast, probably less than a week.

Yeah I didn't know you could file until AFTER you were disabled  I have the paper and I will get it filled out so when I need it, it will be ready to go. But I don't think I will send it in before I go out.

Im 35 weeks and I am doing it now
Then I have to have my supervisor fill out her part and the papers stay with me so the doc can fill out his part.
I already have the envelope addressed to our HR office so Dh ca mail them out right away
Luckily my first 4 weeks of maternity leave are fully paid, so I have time

I wasn't able to complete mine till after I had the baby because you have to ceritfy the type of birth, when, etc.

But I can get the paperwork, fill it out and have doctor fill it out beforehand, right. Then HR can hold on to it or mail it to HR right after DD is Born?
