Chickened out on appt. today
Was a bad AM; thought DH was going into work at 1pm today and we would go to our appt. no problem. But when the alarm went off this AM-he was like "I'm going to be late." And I realized he didn't change his schedule. So I'll admit I was mad about that but decided I could just go. Got showered and everything but then the anxiety stirred up and I realized I couldn't drive by myself. So I cancelled appt. & made it for Thursday when DH is off.
So mad at myself because I wanted to prove to myself & DH that I could just drive alone. But I have a very bad anxiety when it comes to driving unfamiliar territory and I just couldn't do it.
So we'll find out Thursday how to proceed with IVF and in the meantime I'll start looking into grants, etc.

Helen, I'm glad you changed your appointment. A couple of days won't make any difference and you'll have peace of mind having your DH there with you.  I prefer to go w/ my DH as well.
Good luck at your appointment! I'll be a little ahead of you in IVF if you go that route, so feel free to FM or call me w/ any questions!!!

I think its best to do things so we have as little anxiety as possible. If you can have your dh with you and that makes you comfortable that was definitely the right decision.

Thanks; I was beating myself up at first but now I realize that I just wanted him there with me and that's why I was so upset.

The IVF process is a rough road sometimes. If you are anxious about it have you considered speaking to a social worker, or going to therapy? I know it has helped us alot.

I am definitely thinking of starting some type of therapy because I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my mind. I feel like I have no control anymore. So either way-if we decide to go through with IVF or decide to call it quits, I will need therapy.
