Spray Tan...just some questions

A couple of years ago I swore off laying out. I am fair skinned. While I do not burn easily, I have had to have some skin biopsied...and will have more tomorrowChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I would like to get some info on fake tans though. I have tried the home application lotions and the odor is unbearable. I was considering getting spray tanned at a salon. I have a couple of questions though:

1) How much does it cost?

2) How long does it last?

3) Does it have fumes (just as bad or worse than the self tanner lotions you get at the store?)?

4) Those w/ acne, has it irritated your skin?

TIA!

Re: Spray Tan...just some questions

I started using Neutrogena Summer Glow Daily Moisturizer and I love it. It gives you a gradual tan over a week or so. There is no bad smell, no fumes and hardly any streaking. They have one for all skin tones, fair included. It also has a SPF of 20. The only thing I noticed is you really need to apply an even layer. While there is hardly any streaking, I did notice a little streak on my arm the other day. VERY VERY Small though.
I think Nivea also makes one called Sun Kiss. Now I'm not sure if they make one for the face as well, since I didn't look good enough. I'm guessing you could put this on your face, but I wouldn't. I have such Acne prone skin, I could never.
Also, my arms, and back are prone to break outs, and I have not had a problem. It lasts for a long time, as long as you reapply everyday. I haven't applied it in a week and I'm still a little tan. Someone actually asked me the other day if I was going tanning.
Give it a try!! Also, it doesn't cost much.
