Help wanted??
So Im a teacher, and unfortunatly I do have to work over the summer. I havent been able to think of a job where it dosent require lifting or being on your feet 24/7. Im 18 weeks (today ) and will be in the position at around 21. Any thoughts or suggestions? TIA!

I'm a teacher too. I'm wondering... did you need full time work or part time? With my 1st pregnancy I worked at summer school (part time) and it wasn't so bad (as far as the standing and really - no lifting). Would that be an option?
My only other suggestion would be either a receptionist somewhere or if you could get into a tutoring center...

The thing is...I want to break from teaching for the summer. I dont want to think about science. A receptionist is an idea, but do you think they would take a preggo woman who is leaving in Sept?

They might need the temp. summer help. If you look through newsday today (money & careers) they might have something...
I hear you about needing a break from teaching though...school ends on Thurs (1/2 day) and I can't wait!

I am in the same situation but a little further and started looking for jobs about 2 months ago with NO luck whatsoever.
I applied at Day Camps, HLC, offices. Apparently no one wants to hire a preggo.

Oh no! Really? I thought that might happen I was actually thinking about going somewhere there would be perks...like working at BRU. There is an extremely long questionarre you have to fill out online and I am lazy

Re: Help wanted??
I'm a teacher & always used to temp in the summer. Go to a temp agency & you take the typing/grammar/data entry tests & then they place you. You tell them the dates you're available...I always gave myself 2-3 weeks at the end of the summer off.
There's a bunch on 110 or check out the Sunday paper
