LOL. Well, the Kansas state school board wanted to start teaching 'intelligent design' in their schools... so this guy decided to come up with a 'flying spaghetti monster' saying that he, in fact, created the earth. And that if i.d. was going to be taught, that all theories of how the earth was created should also be taught.
I just find it very amusing. The 'relgion' also says that global warming is inversely related to the number of pirates in the world. So the flying spaghetti monster's followers must always dress in full pirate regalia.
of course, my favorite part, is their 'day of worship' is every friday...

i'm pretty sure that evolution is still the scientifically accepted theory.
and as far as i know it's still taught.

I don't think they ever stopped teaching it. At least not to my knowledge. DH is sciency, and he said that it's still the theory accepted in science. I also saw a creation/evolution debate about 4 years ago, so i don't think that would have happened if it were proven false.

Oh no...I never went passed 10th grade sci (the required sci) but I kept failing it so I was there forever!
