JHS--Anyone ever touch up very soon?

I had my hair JHS this past april for the 6th time. I usually get it done 1x per yr. This last time i was VERY UNHAPPY on how it came out. For some reason (i went to the same place) it dries very frizzy and it never used to be like that when I air dired it. I have to actually blow it out everytime if I want it good. But here is my question. BC it did a lot of damage to m y hair i had to cut it short, which was fine b/c i happen to like my hair short and that look is in style right now (short in the back and longer in the front) but it seems like my roots came in and grew VERY FAST this time nad I wanted to know if the roots could just be touched up?

When I go to Hayato in the city the do the roots but the also do put some solution on the rest of my hair I've been doing it for 4 years there and have no problems
