Does anyone take Zantac?

I have heartburn every day, but the past week it has really been bothering me. I'm afraid to take Tums b/c I really hate chewable tablets. I already feel nauseous this week and even gagged on my lunch yesterday. I'm afraid of my reaction to chewing Tums.

My doctor mentioned I could take Zantac 75, once in the morning and once at night. Has anyone taken this? Is it effective at relieving heartburn? Is there anything else you prefer for heartburn relief? TIA.

I don't take the Zantac, but I do take Pepcid. The tums really did nothing and chewing them made me sicker then I was before them. The pepcid are a life saver.

I've taken Zantac 75 and it's been a lifesaver! I have never had to take two in one day. One was enough to relieve the heartburn for the whole day. Doc told me it's perfectly fine to take. I hated chewing the tums or rolaids. They would make me gag.

bc i have had acid reflux prepregnancy and then i had a horrific episode with it and told my doc they told me to take zantac 150 morn and night until the end of the pregnancy....it has been a godsend

I take one Zantac 75 a day (as needed). I did it with my last pregnancy as well. It allows me to eat what I want without completely suffering! I don't take it as a preventative though, only when I need it.
