Gap bra: WWYD?
I just bought a bra at the Gap. It fit fine in the store and was my size ( I just recently got measured). However, yesterday I was wearing all day and it was all over the place. IT seems that the band that goes around the breast bone is too wide, like I need the number part of the size to be smaller. It is made of a very stretchy elastic fabric and you would never know how it behaves unless you wear it for a while...
I have never had that experience with their bars, I usually love them. What should I do? Go back and try to return it? I do have a receipt but I already washed it and wore it once?

I'd just forget it. i dont think they will take it back after its been washed. (although i wouldn't wear it unless it was) but unless you still have the tags and reciept i think its a lost cause.

Re: Gap bra: WWYD?
it can't hurt to try and return it, especially if you have the receipt. the worse they can say is no, right?

Re: Gap bra: WWYD?
i used to work at Gap years ago when they had the 'wash and wear' return policy. Unfortunately they do not have it anymore. i would say try to bring it back. it depends on the employee that helps you, i would always take anything back and then just damage it out. no skin off my teeth KWIM? its worth a shot.

Did they measure you? Or another place?
Do you think it stretched out? If it seems to have stretched out, that is defectiive and they should take it back. How recently did you purchase it? A month or a week ago?

Re: Gap bra: WWYD?
I took back of pair of pants that I wore. They stretched far more than I thought they should. Because it was like the 4th thing I bought from Gap that stretched out so much, I was fed up and marched into the store with the pants and receipt. They took them back.
It couldn't hurt to try.

Re: Gap bra: WWYD?
I would try and explain to them what happened. I had a pair of pants for DD and had washed them a few times and then a thread began to pull on the thigh area. I exchanged them no problem. The worst thing they can say is no.

Re: Gap bra: WWYD?
At Victorias Secret I was able to return a pair of pajamas that tore after just 2 washings. So maybe you can do the same since it should not have stretched out that much after wearing it once.
