Released to my OB!

Had my first visit yesterday. I was a little surprized she didn't give me a sono. Just a pap and some other cultures and she sent me for a bunch of bloodwork and gave me a scrip for vitamins and a nuchal translucency. Did your Doctor do more on a 1st visit? Just curious...Next visit is in 4 weeks (I'll be 12 weeks then)
XOXOXO

Re: Released to my OB!

i had a sono at my 8 weeks visit to see the HB, but it was a quick one. i got the script for my bloodwork and got weighed, that's about it (i had the pap and regular exam at 5.5 weeks)

some docs do very few sonos. but that's so exciting to be released to your OB!! how do you feel?

Re: Released to my OB!

I had my 1st OB appointment on Monday and they did even less than that !....Blood pressure, pee in a cup, blood, and sat in the Dr.s office with him to talk and thats all ....I go back next week and he's going to do a 10 week sono (YAY- I'm in sono withdrawal!!!)..At least when the baby gets to be 11 weeks or more , they can use the Doppler so I can at least hear the HB againChat Icon

Re: Released to my OB!

It's hard to transition away from the RE with the frequent visits and overload of information about what is going on! My OB did an 8 week sono but some don't if you have had a few already. The NT scan at 12w will amaze you when you see how much the baby has grown!
