mexico in 7 days!!!! NEED RECCOMENDATIONS
i am so excited to finally getting away on a nice vacation with dh after 4 years. (our honeymoon was our last vacation) we are staying at the sun palace in cancun
can antone reccommend any particular sight seeing or historical places we might definitly go to?

We went in Decemeber and stayed at Riu Cancun. I wouldn't stay there again, I would go back to the Palace Resorts - probably Sun. We went to Adventura on our Honeymoon.
We spent a day at X-Caret. It was expensive but it was worth every penny. It takes about 1 hour to get there and it is a full day trip. We did the swimming with the dolphins - it was AMAZING.
X-Caret
On our honeymoon we went to Tulum, that was really cool. We did that through palace resorts.

Chichen Itza is definately worth a long ride on the bus, it is beautiful there! also, if you like sightseeing I recommend going to Coba, as far as I rememeber they are discovering new things there all the time... of course Tulum is just breathtaking, wonderful location, beautiful beach... HTH

def do the jungle tour, be prepared to take the bus to downtown where all the bars/stores/markets are you are way in a very quiet area- very nice.
If Lorenzios is still there very close to cancun palace def eat there- you pick your lobster and its YUMMY!!!! there I would not drink the water though!
x-caret is nice but an hour away from you each way.
do see the ruins one right by you walking distance.
and of course if there is a snorkeling tour do it! have a great time!!!
oh I forgot- rent scooters go down by the lagoon it is just beautiful
also if you can rent a waverunner from the lagoon side and you can ride the entire island lagoon to ocean its amazing!!!!

Xcaret is beautiful- lot of walking.
Tulum was really cool to see.... if you go wear good walking shoes but bring a bathing suit, there is a beautiful beach there.
We did the jungle cruise too. It was okay.
Check out all the Palaces!
