Breastfeeding class booked
I am so upset. I tried for a week to book a breastfeeding class in July, since I am due in August and the link wasn't working. Well now I go on today and the class is booked. The next one is not until after my due date.
Does anyone know where I can take a class other than North Shore (that is where I am delivering). I live in Suffolk so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

you could try these. I've heard good things eventhough i haven't used them myself. I think memebership is $25 andthen you can attend the class and receive other services and discounts.

i think all hosipitals offer this. also i found out after i paid for a class that i could have taken it for free once i was admitted to the hosipital to deliver.

I know several Suffolk girls who go to the La Leche League group. One lives in West Islip, and the other in Huntington. I think the group they go to is in Islip.

Same thing happened to me. All classes were booked because I waited too long. I ended up not taking a class and read up about breastfeeding online. All of the nurses in the hospital I delvered at are trained in helping with breastfeeding and there is a lactation consultant there as well. With the help from the nurses and lactation consultant, I had it down after 1 day. It willl all work out

Are you delivering at St. Charles by any chance? If so, their Lactation Consultant has classes. I took a class with her through my OB's office, but I think she also does ones at the hospital too.

I just signed up for a class at Southside (where I am delivering)
They had openings for tomorrow, but I signed up for the July 11th class at 4pm
