silly question
During the entire IVF cycle should DH and I be using some sort of contraception (condoms, etc)? I know the papers say we contracept starting when I get my period while on Lupron. Should I start before? And how long after?

We were told to use contraception up until the transfer and to abstain until the beta.

I was told pretty much the same thing. Once I start BCPs I have to get a water sono done- and both DH and I have to take antibiotics before it. They told us we have to use condoms the whole time- (don't think they mentioned the abstaining until the beta part yet- but we still have to meet w/ a nurse to go over everything). They also mentioned not being allowed to go in water- baths, swimming pools, etc... after the water sono, and the retrieval for that matter) b/c they poke thru and there's too much risk for bacteria to get in.
