changing table.... CHECK!
YAY! we finally got off of our patooties and assembled the changing table and re-organized our walk-in closet area to make room for a changing station....
we even installed a pendant light over the changing table
It's 90% done... we only have to find a new home for a small pile of clutter... errrr.... stuff
(the reason why it's in the closet is two-fold... 1-we're in a 1 BR apartment.... 2-our closet is very large and will allow us to not turn on our main bedroom lights every time we need to change Crouton...)

I can't take a pic until we finish moving some clothes out of the closet and to my mom's house.... that will happen next weekend

YES!!!! Its a HUGE challenge fitting the baby's things in this tiny place! My condo is only 860 sq. feet! We have been organizing alot lately, at least thats a good side effect of nesting! I still feel as though we need more room. I stored a bunch of things veen under DD's crib! Poor thing..I guess we have to do what we have to do... and it could always be worse..
aww ok no problem about the pic! It sounds like it works out really well!!

Re: changing table.... CHECK!
May I ask where you guys rent that you have a 1BR with a walk-in closet in the BR? Hhow many sq ft is your apt? Are you in Suffolk or Nassau??? I am due in December & our lease is up in April 09. Although it will tough moving with a newborn, I want to get out of the apt we are currently in.
We currently have a walk-in closet in our living room & that is where we plan to put all the baby's stuff (no permanent changes) except the crib. The crib will go in our room.
Can you FM me ho much you pay in rent?

I'm also in a one bedroom, but no walk-in closet! I will probably go without the changing table and just use the bed or couch...anything else you are going without?

I live in south florida and DH and I bought our place 2 years ago when it was going from a rental community into purchasing "condos". I guess thats not much help being that you are in LI. I wish we never bought here in our community.. the places are going into foreclosure all around us and we are losing alot of money if we go to resell right now so we are stuck until the market rises.
Also, for our changing table, I bought a dresser in a clearance center at a furniture store and I bought a changing pad and placed this on top of my dresser since I had no room at all for a separate changing table.

we have a crib and a dresser/changing table...
we're doing without a glider and a bookcase. the pack and play will be at mom's house. we'll have a small bouncer and maybe a swing in the kitchen. that's it. (also, no need for a monitor we're always within ears reach )
I should recommend to you to get a crib that has a drawer underneath. mmmm, extra storage.... that's where all of couton's linens are going

we moved from another unit within the same building... there are only 10 units. I believe this unit may be the only one with a walk-in closet. We told the landlord we were going to TTC and needed space and waited about 6 months for a larger unit to be free. We're still under 800 sq ft... not sure if we're closer to 650 or 750...
consider our apartment to be manhattan-sized
