My paper says only with a barrier method?

I really don't remember how long you should abstain or use protection but I do recall being told of some sort of risk of infection for the first couple of days.
I'm sure if you google it you can find the answer

I was told by the doctor who did the HSG and my RE that i had to just wait 24 hours becuase the dye would be sensitive to him.

I had the HSG done at NSUH also and I had the same question b/c that's what it says on the blue instruction form. However, I called and the doctor said once the initial bleeding ends we can BD (b/c I was supposed to O about 4 days after the HSG so I didn't want to lose out on a month!). We ended up getting PG the next cycle after the HSG. Good lcuk!

As long as your Dr. says its ok, I definitely would. I know two women who got pregnant the month following their HSG.

We Bd that night, the nurse who was with me for the procedure wispered to me to make sure I BD that night because lots of women get pg soon after their HSG.....unfortunately I didn't, but good luck to you!!!

I was spotting for about 2 1/2 days. Is that weird?
I'm not Oing yet so even though it would be fun..it wouldn't be productive.
I was still crampy up until this morning.

When I got successful (or can I say partially successful) I had HSG on CD8 and then I waited a few days to heal. I know my natural cycle I O on CD14, so I made sure it was either that morning or earlier. I think we made one attempt on cd13 or 14. I was shocked when it worked. And they told me I had blocked right tube. So, give it a try but don't put too much pressure on yourself. Good luck.
